Charles Horin

Charles Horin

Bass Guitar, Electric Bass

A Los Angeles native, Charles is a seasoned live and session musician. He began his musical career playing cello in his middle school orchestra, leading him to discover his passion for the bass guitar shortly thereafter. Quickly grasping the technicality of his instrument, he began playing in multiple bands at the age of 14, further developing his sense of musicality communicating with other musicians. He has gone on to perform at venues like the Troubadour, Fonda Theatre, Roxy, Viper Room, Sayers Club, Whisky A Go Go, and recently played on the soundtrack of Hollywood film “Chick Fight”.

A proponent in the study of multiple genres, Charles believes variety is versatility, and versatility is success. His favorite genres include Alt. Rock, Hip Hop, Electronic, R&B, Metal, Soul, Psychedelic, and Funk.

Charles currently plays in town regularly with his own rock band, Analog Party, and with Swedish singer Jennifer Ackerman in her band Final Child.

Ben Eaton

Ben Eaton

Guitar, Bass Guitar, Ukulele, Music Theory

I've been teaching guitar for the last eight years to students of wide ranging skill levels who seek to gain an introductory understanding, or deepen their current understanding of the guitar and basic music theory. I prefer to let the personal goals of the student decide the direction of lessons, many of my students seek to learn their favorite contemporary guitar songs. Using these popular songs as jumping off points, I mix in technique and theory exercises to give students a concrete and practical understanding of the material and of the instrument of their choice. I have experience teaching various styles of acoustic and electric guitar, bass and ukulele to students as young as six. From classical pieces to jazz, and from heavy metal to the softest folk tune, I can accompany you and guide you through your musical journey.
