about the artist

Anna Cooley

Anna is a graduate of Berklee College of Music where she studied jazz bass and composition. A bassist by origin but composer by trade, she plays and teaches upright and electric bass, guitar, piano, and ukulele. When she isn't composing and designing sound for video games, she is a passionate teacher who aims to create an inclusive, safe, and equitable space for emerging musicians to enter the world of music. She does this by meeting her students where they are at: paying careful attention to their goals and learning styles. Whether it be personally arranging songs her students want to learn, or finding new approaches with each lesson to help increase a student's understanding of a difficult concept, Anna always strives to go the extra mile for her students.
